Chris Dodd - Occupation: Foole

Chris Dodd, unfortunately still a U.S. senator and still running for the Democratic nomination as if he has a snowball's chance in Hell, was shown on TV telling fellow left-wingers how he "stood up to Bill O'Reilly."

I watched his face-to-face with O'Reilly. In fact, I taped it and watched it three times, just to see if I missed something.

But I didn't miss a thing.

Dodd didn't "stand up" to anyone -- all he did was show that (a) he had no idea what Daily Kos is, even as he defended it as a glorious forum of "real Americans," and (b) that he truly thinks that if he puts his "Chris Dodd angry!" face on to anyone with a conservative bend that he's going to woo all the 20-something liberals who have yet to learn what it takes to survive in the real world (a.k.a., not the Internet!) without their parents' help -- and their money.

Dodd is a two-faced, know-nothing dinosaur. He lives in one part of society and pretends to know how we in the other part are forced to live. The very fact that he's wasting this much time and money is proof that he's out of touch. The only reason he's still a Senator is because no one worthwhile has challenged him, not because he's been chosen as the best.

I wish I wasn't a social misfit, or I would run against him myself. I mean, if you think this country is in shambles, just realize that Dodd's been an integral part in making it that way for years.

Geez, this isn't rocket science. ... If you think things are bad, get rid of everyone who's been helping to make it so. Kick them out and start anew.

Voting is important!

And yes, I stole "Occupation: Foole" from George Carlin, back in the days when he was actually funny. Now he just makes up interesting swear words.

Wow. You really added to the dialogue. Stick to talking to animals -- we humans don't like you much, either.

Non-specific criticism from anonymous posters doesn't really count as very much to me. But I'll take the bait -- Did you disagree with something in the post, or are you just blindly defending "the party" ... ?

You might want to consider making a point or giving legitimate reasons for your frustration next time rather than this worthless blabber. You seem to thave such a strong opinion about Senator Dodd, but clearly know little about him (if you had legitimate reasons to hate him I figure you would have mentioned them in your post, which you didn't).
Would you say these things to his face? And if he were to ask you why you feel the way you do, which he would, would you have anything meaningful to say? I really don't think you would.

To yet another anonymous poster:

Well, let's see, what part of my post didn't you understand? I think the points I wanted to make were clear.

I also think that Dodd's amazingly poor performance in the primaries showed exactly what I thought they would -- that he didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting the nomination.

Come on, man, think about it -- the guy uprooted his family and moved to a state just so the people there would vote for him. Oh yeah, and when he realized -- finally -- that he didn't have a chance, he pulled them back to Connecticut. That shows more concern for his political future than for his family, in my opinion, which is not a good character trait.

And to go on national TV and try and defend his decision to boycott a Fox News Channel debate, while agreeing to attend a Daily Kos event, saying that the FNC debate would be biased?

Let's also not forget about the fact that he blasted his fellow senator for missing votes while running a campaign, only to do the same thing himself a short time later.

Dodd is just one more lawmaker that forgets that there's a group in between the rich and the poor -- me, the barely making it crowd -- that he keeps taking money from to give to the poor so they'll have what I have ... except that when he takes the money from me, I can't have those things anymore.

Does that clear things up for you?
